Sonoma Coast Fun Dives
Join the staff of Sonoma Coast Branch as we search the depths for the perfect dive. We select the site and provide a dive leader for two dives (you're free to dive with just a buddy, if you wish), spare equipment, emergency gear, and lunch. These dives are just for fun, but like all the dives you make, they count toward your Specialty Diver, Advanced Diver, and Master Diver ratings. So join us for some great fun, learn new skills, and meet new dive buddies. RSVP a must.

Monterey Bay Fun Dives - Explore from the Shore Every Month with Bamboo Reef!!
Join us each month for our fun dives from the shores of Monterey, Carmel, and The Big Sur Coast.  We welcome all levels of divers, and have dive professionals on hand to assist you.  Buddy and group dives are organized; then we all get together afterwards to share a meal and recount the day’s adventures.

Most dives will be in small, guided groups (usually with no more than 4 people), while our experienced divers may buddy dive (a dive leader will be present at the site, but may choose to break the group up depending on conditions).

The cost is $10.00 per diver.  Simply arrive at Bamboo Reef in Monterey, 614 Lighthouse Avenue, before 9:00am (earlier if you need to rent equipment), where we’ll be announcing the intended location for the day.  Dive spots are chosen depending on weather and water conditions; we scout the beaches that morning to find the best diving the day has to offer.

All fun divers must have some coldwater diving experience and must provide their own equipment (available for rent), a c–card, and a sense of adventure, and a desire to explore Monterey waters in a safe enjoyable setting. Private guides are available at a slight additional cost if you have no Monterey diving experience or feel like you need one on one attention.  Call us if you have any questions or would like to arrange for a private guide.
